About Us

  • 2008

The Texan Stores comes from a family with small town roots. The company was founded by Pete and Patricia Dlugosch of Yorktown, Texas. The first store was built from ground up in the owner’s hometown and was completed in February of 2008. It was the first of its kind for the small town. The store was the largest and most spacious convenience store around with parking for trucks and fast and fresh food service.

  • 2010

By the end of 2010 the company acquired two smaller convenience stores in Yorktown, Texas and converted them to the Texan brand.

  • 2014

2014 was a big year as they ventured out of Yorktown to build what was then their biggest store yet in Three Rivers, Texas. Even more spacious with more dining area and parking!

  • 2017

As the business grew and flourished, they opened another new store in Cuero, Texas, which, at the time, was the largest store with even more to offer in food service and convenience!

  • 2018

Since The Texan Stores began to pave a very successful and branded path for itself, they went on to open (3) other locations this fiscal year alone! Victoria, TX is currently their largest and newest store to date.

  • 2019

Currently, The Texan Stores is under construction on their newest location in Goliad, Texas!
